The set_side_value mission scripting command changes the sideValue of an existing ship or station.

Name of existing ship or station. 

value

0-,  0 = no side, 1 = enemy (normally), 2+ = player side (normally)

 

 

 

The scanned level (e.g., whether the shield frequencies, specials, and captain info are shown or not) will not change.  If you want to reset the scanned level back, you can instead create a new ship with a temporary name on the new side.  Then in an event block where the new ship exists, copy any desired properties from the old ship, destroy the old ship, and then use set_ship_text to rename the new ship to the original ship name.

 

The change of side value does not take place immediately, it only takes effect after all events are processed.
