Kralien Dreadnought

The most powerful ship in the Kralien fleet, the Dreadnought has stronger shields, and rapid fire beams like the Battleship. It is also the only Kralien ship which is armed with an aft beam. This beam does standard damage, but fires at the normal rate for a Kralien beam, not the rapid fire rate. It does have a much longer range. It does 1-15 damage, depending on difficulty level, and does 0.16 - 2.5 DPS in that rear arc, again depending on the difficulty level.

The Kralien Dreadnought's forward beams are extremely widely spaced, covering almost all of the arc not covered by the rear beam. Unfortunately for the Dreadnought, this means its ability to concentrate fire in the forward arc is limited to an extremely narrow sliver. Of course, the Dreadnought is trying to keep its enemy directly in front of it, so this is not much of a disadvantage.

(Prior to Artemis 2.3, Beam damage for the Kralien Dreadnought was 1-5, with damage capped at difficulty 5. Max DPS was therefore 3.33 at all difficulties from 5 to 11. In versions previous to 2.0, the Dreadnought had half the fire rate it currently has, as did the Battleship, and the aft beam was added in 1.65, but you are unlikely to play those versions. The current level of damage is from Artemis 2.3)
