User-created content

User created content for Artemis falls into one of three categories; "Mods" or modifications to the stock game to change it in some way, "Add-Ons", or plug-ins which change a single element of the game, and "Tools", which are separate applications intended to improve your Artemis experience. Except for the developer created tools listed below, all of this content is considered to be unofficial, unauthorized, and for use at your own risk. Thom is not involved with mods or their creation, other than allowing his game to support them, and continued support of any mod or tool is not guaranteed. In particular, mods can "break" when a new version of Artemis is released.

Some mods may make use of copyrighted material; such mods are also not authorized by Thom Robertson, and are for personal use only. They should not be used in an online or public setting, or redistributed or sold. Mods that contain only Artemis canon elements, such as the TSN Sandbox, may be used online.

Technically, scripted missions are also user-created content, but they are considered different for purposes of the listings on this page. Visit the Missions page for a list of user-created scripts.

Includes updated damage and efficiencies, second player race, etc.

Mods working with Artemis 2.3

Full sets of replacements for various game files, intended to be used together.

Mods working with Artemis 2.x

Need a location to store MOD combos. For example:

How to INSTALL "Into The Breach" and the TMP Mod without interference.
The following is a step-by-step set of instructions to install them both, installing the TMP mod first:

1) Install the TMP mod by extracting the files into your Atremis /dat folder. (You should now have the path Artemis/dat/Mods/)
2) Run the "Play Artemis.bat" file in the folder /dat/Mods/ST_TMP
3) Chose "b", to backup all the stock files
4) Install the ITB mod by extracting all the files into your main Artemis folder. (You should now have a file called "Play Artemis.bat" in your MAIN Artemis folder)
5) That's it, both mods are installed.

To play the TMP mod, use the batch file at "Artemis/dat/Mods/ST_TMP/Play Artemis.bat"
To play ItB, use the batch file at "Artemis/Play Artemis.bat"
(To play the stock game, use either batch file's option to restore the game to stock.)

For the BSG mod, or any of the others for that matter, do all systems need to have the mod or only the server?

I have tried repeatedly to play with the BSG mod and the server locks up every time. The theme music plays over and over but does not run the simulation. Any advice?

Update on running the BSG mod. I talked with the designer and the mod is made to run with the missions that come with the mod and not the invasion modes. To quote; "The vesseldata.xml is a custom one so the invasion mode does not recognize some of the data. This might be what's locking up the computer. Try it with the custom missions. MISS_Vengence is a good start mission/training mission." I tried this and indeed it the program ran well. Apparently though, the jump drive does not work in the mod very well. Waiting on a update in the core Artemis files.

How do we figure out which mods are compatible with 1.7, and which aren't?
