Development of Impulse Drives
|
After several years of development, the first impulse drives are fitted to manned vessels. These allow rapid transit through the solar system, with travel time from Earth to the outer planets taking a matter of weeks. Research continues in to more energy efficient and faster drive technologies to reduce transit time between planets. |
2064 |
Development of Warp Drive technology |
Scientists create a faster drive technology that allows travel between planets in a matter of hours. space is warped around the vessel, creating a wave upon which ships ride. Travel time from Earth to the outer planets is reduced to days, rather than weeks. |
2084 |
Discovery of Jump Points |
Advanced sensor arrays discover energy spikes in space. Scientists theorise that the energy could be utilised to send ships light years in a matter of hours. Development of a drive technology to utilise the energy spikes begins. Over the following years, a drive is developed and equipped to unmanned probes. |
2096 |
First recorded journey to another star system by a human |
After several years of trial runs with unmanned space craft, Jump Point technology is equipped to a manned vessel. Two humans make the first flight, returning several days later. Onboard sensors confirm transit to another star system, almost 60 light years from the solar system. |
2109 |
First Contact |
As humans begin to explore new star systems, the first alien species are discovered. |
2115 |
First Colonies established |
The first colonies are established in some of the nearer star systems to the Earth Solar System. |
2120 |
The unification of humanity |
As humans continue to spead through the Orion Spur and new alien species are discovered, the nations of Earth begin to unify in their endevour to explore and advance the scientific knowledge of the galaxy. |
2148 |
The USFP formed |
The colonies of mankind bind together, forming the USFP. Membership is also offered to the numerous intelligent alien races. Some agree and become the founding members of the USFP. |
2174 |
Signal detected at New Lhasa colony |
A transmission is picked up by sensor grids at New Lhasa colony, one of the colonies at the frontier of USFP space. Demands are made for surrender and a tithe to be paid to a race called the Kraliens. USFP starships are deployed to defend the system. |

The Aries War
|
In 2148, explosions were detected by sensor arrays deployed on the outer edges of the solar system. Scientists deduced that they were explosion from a conflict between two unknown alien races and were able to approximate the year in which the conflict occured. |

First Torgoth Incursion
|
An allied force of Kralien, Torgoth and Arvonian vessel attacked USFP controlled systems, sparking a war that lasted three full years. Several systems along the border regions were taken during the war, the human populations evacuated or wiped out in brutal assaults. |
